Multifamily Housing

Housing Project | New York, NY | Unbuilt

Supported by the Center for Architecture & AIA New York’s Stewardson Keefe Le Brun Travel Grant, this project uses historical housing policies and design principles in Scandinavia to inform the design for a housing project located in the Bronx, NY. The project specifically incorporates research on unseen environmental elements: labor, air, waste, energy, and policy. The key aspects of this project rely on using local labor, renewable materials, and emerging technologies in support of clean air circulation, waste management, renewable energy and challenging restrictive housing policy. The ground floor provides assisted living for elderly residents and the top floor offers supportive infrastructure for individuals who are experiencing transitional moments in life.
