The existing conditions of the 2,000 square foot SoHo loft included an array of materials and applications, such as large timber beams, cast iron columns, robust marble fireplace, and industrial steel doors. The renovation wove these elements into the final design with a focus on creating relationships between the east and west wings of the long and narrow apartment through old and new alignments, as seen in the dotted lines throughout the plan.
