‘MRT’ | Published Drawing | Scroope 28 | 2019
MRT (Mary, Rachel, Tauba) a superimposition of art works, which use light as an essential ingredient to heighten the perception of the relationship of ourselves (the viewer) to particular pieces of art work. In each case, light functions as a third element, which plays an active role in changing our experience of the work. The artworks used in creating ‘MRT’ are abstracted from portions of the following three works: Untitled (Space, Plexi + Painted Wood) by Mary Corse in 1966; Spy by Rachel Whiteread in 2011; and Untitled (Fold) by Tauba Auerbach in 2011.
