‘MRL’ | Published Drawing | Log 44 | 2018

MRL (Martin, Ryman, LeWitt), is a superimposition of three infrequently referenced art works produced during the 1960’s and 1970’s, that demonstrate how the grid has been spiritualized, deprioritized, and serialized. The sources used in this drawing are: Agnes Martin Summer, 1964; Robert Ryman Drawing with Numbers 1963; and Sol LeWitt Successive Rows of Horizontal, Straight Lines from Top to Bottom & Vertical, Straight Lines from Left to Right, 1972.  Project Team: Daisy Ames
